Edward

K, Guess what? Edward has been casted.Its Robert Patterson, otherwise known as Cederic Diggory. Tell me what you think.

I think it was a poor decision, he doesn't have the look at all, I mean I don't think he wont be a good actor, I just don't think he's a good Edward.

i don't think it was a good choice. i personally wanted hayden christenson to play edward. mr patterson doesn't seem like an edward, he's not very "tortured" to me and to be frank, ot that great looking.

I agree with all of you. Even without expecting Hayden (that would have been perfect) I did expected someone else. I mean, I don't find this robert really good looking (neither does my mom, not that it matters :p) and ... *sigh* I just don't like him!

I won't watch the movie, well I don't think I will ... i'm expeting more disappointment with Alice, Emmett and the other's cast ..

I'm not sure, i will most deffinetly see the movie, just in case i need to stake outside Hollywood, and strike against the movie or something. :)

I don't know what i'll do because i'm afraid that the movie will ruin the book, i mean i'm afraid that when i'll read the books afterwards i'll see the characters faces... >_< Sorry if i'm confusing you i don't know how to explain that ..

How could they? I mean he looks nothing like Edward. Period. He would be good for Jasper maybe, but it just kills me to see this guy having the roll of this God <3. Its a major disappointment. Now I'm going to be trying to get someone elses face for Edward when I read the books But still, it's like they choose without even looking around. Once again, huge DISAPPOINTMENT.

Well, I have no idea what i think. When i first heard, i was BAWLING! so, yeah. I think i will have to wait until it comes out.... What do you guys think?

i am going to watch it, so i can be either outraged if they screw it up, or elated that it was wonderful and surprised that mr patterson has done a good job. oh, i really hope they don't mess up the others.

i really hope that too. so far they have already messed up 2 main characters. personally i don't see bella in kirsten stewart, and robert pattinson is far (repeat: FAAAR) away from Edward!

their bella decision doesn't bother me that much. i kinda think kristen stewart will make a good bella but at the same time i don't think she will. so i guess you could say i'm undecided about her. But, anyways, i too am outraged about this choice of edward. *laughs* you should have seen me when i found out. first i was like, "very funny" then i was like "what!? you're serious!?"

I've got one word for you guys: overreaction...
It's just a movie..you don't have to see it. Then while your re-reading your books you can picture them however you want...

If you watch a movie that is an adaptation of a book you WILL see the actors as your characters! It has been proven with Harry Potter but for HP the actors are (almost) exactly like most people imagined them.

And it's not 'just a movie' it's Twilight! We're all crazy about the books and they are messing everything up for:
1. People who read the book because
- they will see the actors as the characters
- they will know that people who will read the book after the movie won't be able to fantasize about the characters as we did because of the actors.

2. People who never read the book before because
- if the movie is bad they won't want to read the books ...
- if the actors sucks then they will think that the story sucks ..

So I don't think that it's overreaction, we all waited so long for it and they are ruining our characters

Isabella: That's true we don' have a choice, which is normal but he (the cast director) should be able to respect the characters .. If he was doing his job correctly he should have made so research on the internet to see how most people pictured them which he could have easely done by looking on youtube for instance ...

We can hope but I doubt it ... maybe it's his eyes .. I don't like his eyes ... too small .. *sigh* ...

aww it's okay *pats*. hmm,how to explain smoldery eyes... okay you know how they describe in the book how bella is like "captivated' or whatever by his eyes? well that's kinda it. when you con't look away frm their eyes. their eyes are intense, if you will. i probably just made you more confused...
