EDWARD HAS BEEN CAST!!!

For anyone who didn't hear, Robert Pattinson (of Harry Potter fame) has been cast as Edward in the upcoming Twilight movie!!!!
Any thoughts?

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT
Los Angeles, CA December 11, 2007 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Robert Pattinson will star as “Edward” in the highly anticipated feature film production TWILIGHT opposite Kristen Stewart. The thriller-romance, based on Stephenie Meyer’s publishing phenomenon, is slated to begin production in February 2008 with Catherine Hardwicke directing a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA) and Greg Mooradian will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.
Erik Feig, Summit Entertainment’s President of Production, stated, “It's always a challenge to find the right actor for a part that has lived so vividly in the imaginations of readers but we took the responsibility seriously and are confident, with Rob Pattinson, that we have found the perfect Edward for our Bella in TWILIGHT.”
Robert Pattinson most recently starred in LITTLE ASHES as the young Salvador Dali. Pattinson is best known for his role as Cedric Diggory in the recent box office successes HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE.

Actually I'm happy sorry abou you guys, but that's how I pictured Eddy, sorry girls, but I'm more interested to know if they cast the right Jacob....

I think he'll do great. You guys are WAY overreacting.
I never pictured ANY of the vampires pretty. Because I made sure to keep in mind their paleness.

... that doesn't make any sense to me! Of course that vampires are beautiful behond imagination...

Actually, Stephanie meyer made sure we knew that they were pale. WAAAAAY pale. And if I keep that in mind(along with his red hair... he has red hair, right?) they don't look all that good.

I guess that it depend about people's opinions .. :p I'm sorry if i sounded like it disrespected your opinion, it wasn't the case! :)

But I do like pale people ..well maybe not as pale as vampires should be but i think (in my opinion) that they are still more than beautiful, pale skin wouldn't bother me

I like pale people too. But I pictured them the color of marble. Greyish whitish.

if u have photoshop go on there and make his skin white and change his eye color

I don't think anyone will be the perfect Edward, but as far as actors go I think he'll do fine, if the script doesn't suck. It's a long book...they could butcher it pretty easily.
