Wait- a guy was murdered by Jame's coven??? When did this happen??? I mean, I'm sure they murdered tons of people, but when in the book does this take place???

It's not in the book. it's just a random scene that the movie added.. just like the field trip scene.

It's pretty much their introduction in the movie. To fully show what exactly they do... I think. You learn about it in the "Meet the Characters" package from mtv.

And that's cool that Christine wanted to add more ethnicity! She's such a good person!

Yeah, I can understand where she is coming from with the whole Mr.Molina/Mr.Banner stuff.

And she probably wants the people who didn't read the books to know that James' coven is not like the Cullens.

that's the thing with movies, isn't it...? with books you can have a narration which implies something like James' coven being "uncivilized" but you really do have to show that in movies...
