Welcome to Chicago. It's September '09, and life in the city is hectic as usual. The windy weather has been worse than usual lately, the businesses are suffering due to the suckish economy, and people are questioning whether or not they want to spend the rest of their lives here. But the rich teenagers of the city have it easy. One of the most prestigious private high schools in the country, Aridia Academy (dubbed AA by most of the students), has opened its doors once again. AA, although being a school, is a place where both the students and the teachers can show their true colors and be exactly who they are. And, in most cases, that isn't a good thing.

Unfortunately, AA is no different from the typical high school you see in soap operas. Delinquent teenagers run a muck about the hallways and the grounds, things far more vivacious than studying and getting good grades on their minds. Kids have gotten drunk during break, smoked in the bathrooms when they're supposed to be in class, and had sex on the desks during lunch. From the slow, special-ed kid with the crazy eyes to the vixenish, exotic slut who barely even wears a uniform, to the hot professor who sleeps with most of his students, to the comedic math teacher who is probably one of the few good-hearted people at the school, Aridia hosts a wide variety of people who both have seen and experienced the ups and downs of life. End of story, right?

Wrong. Oh, you are so wrong.

A message written in blood is spread across the cafeteria walls, bone-chilling words sending shivers down the spines of the teachers and students who have come back from a long, relaxing summer:

I've know what you've done. I've seen it all.
Your tainted blood will be spilled,
a heart will be stopped everyday,
and there I'll be, in the middle of it all, smiling.
But you can't see it.
You're finally getting what's coming to you.

Aridia isn't safe anymore. Someone will die every day, and there's nothing either the students or the staff can do to stop it. Plus, a gossip blog entitled The Way We Get By is circulating around the school, documenting the deaths and dishing out the most dirty secrets on the living...and the dead. Everyone is certain the author of this blog is the killer, but the question is, who is it?

The Academy will be receiving the help of the Foxworths, the best detective team in Illinois, but is it really enough? Will they be able to catch this killer before the rest of the staff and student body die out? Only one thing is certain. Aridia Academy has a new school motto:

Run for your LIVES.
