Disgracing ballerinas' poetry

The house long neglected
The address long changed
The things we never expected
And the friends who never came

Those friends, long forgotten
Who, many years before
We laughed and ate and talked with
We always wanted more

More time to spend together
More hours in the day
We never could have guessed that
They’d all just walk away

And many years after
Just as many years before
They’d walk right up the driveway
And through our kitchen door

A kitchen long abandoned
The walls long bare
We left because the memories
Were just too painful there

They left because we said things
We never even meant
And so the vicious cycle
Destroys the content

That used to rule our lives
Before we even said
Those oh so fateful words
Which we never even meant

I'll try to post some of my other stuff soon.

Okay this was my own assignment...for the English class. But it's technically a poem so I figured why not post it here?

Deep inside a dream of mine
In a single file line
Sleep dissolves as they walk away
Graves that held them yesterday
Rising up to face their fates
And the torture that awaits
Can't help wanting to break down
In open air they almost drown
Now they're falling out of step
Ground is spinning, endless depths

Break an ankle, break a wrist
And the show will surely split
Let them leave or let them stay
Let them come another day
Each time one makes a mistake
Runs too fast and without grace
It pulls the others out of place
No one makes a single sound
As the world stops spinning round
Still they make their crooked bow

I think I'll write another version that's not dependant on the letters in my username and see how it turns out.
