Unbound
Grasping for reality
Tired of falling to my knees
I’m no longer alive
The screams subside
The tears that stain my face
Now cold and dried
Empty echoes from above
Whispering the requiem
Of some long lost love
A time and a place
From long ago
The memories, as clouds
Now hazy and slow
I see the pain filled,
Tortured eyes
Believing all the
Broken lies
My past left behind
Scattered too the breeze
The once vivid dreams
Lost like tears to the seas
The ties that bound me
I believe are now undone
So why do I stay here
Not wanting – afraid - to run?
