I figure that eventually I'll have enough stuff to fill a thread, so I decided to start. In case you haven't figured it out, I'm Zabella in the Alice House. Sorry for confusing you Gaby; I would mark which one's you've already counted, but I'm not sure which you have.

Poems first, then songs.

time folds upon itself
slippery like black water.
For me
I feel the rough texture of years
by the way my skin wrinkles
and clings gently to my bones.

For you
the years fold upon themselves
like waves, you find no difference
between generations.
For me
I live a slideshow
sequential, peristant
dark shapes that fade in
memory.

For you
I wonder, am I just another
rise in a ring of ripples?
When I plunge away beneath the tide
Will I leave a residue?
For me
I will always remember
how your cold fingers merged with mine
and you pulled me away from
the burning black water
To truly feel the moonlight.

No more
No more love
No more joy
No more life
as the world caved in
catching me, crushing me
so all that I felt
Was how the cold, like water, filled me
So all that I tasted
was the burning toungue of the ocean
So all that I heard
was your melodious voice
that, even now, I reached for
as it shredded me apart.

And I know you told me not to
But you're not here to see
And why would you care?
I'm all alone
frightened
so what else is there to do?

Because you're not here
I'm lost in dark water
that stretches, meshes,
into darkness.
I need some way
to rememember that feeling
And I don't care
what happens next.
I spun in circles,
dizzy, confused,
until I lost myself
When you left,
drifted, like clouds, away
from me
When you became no more.

Buried

Deep in my heart
Your words stained;
Nails on the chalkboard,
Acid in my veins.
I've been broken
like a porcelain doll
Distorted, malformed,
Shattered from a fall

And I grow stiff in my bones
And my mind throws itself away
off its tracks.

I can sense it in my veins

They come in with their white coats
torture they call solution
Dig my mind a deep black moat
to keep me in their institution

And I know I'm not quite whole yet

Asylums are just storage bins

Thanks! I have tunes, but I don't know how to record them. And I don't want to sing them because my voice sucks....
