spending money

I was just wondering why alice was so scared that edward would talke her porche back? Can't she buy one herself? We all know her as the person that likes to spend money. then why would she need someone else to buy her something she really wanted? After all, all teh cullens are rich.
Then I started thinking aobut the part in twilight where bella and alice go to the mall to get now cloths for themselves. Well she uses a black credit card. so was that edwards are something? What do you guys think

for the porch thing..... for most people i think its has much greater meaning if someone (that u love) gets it for u (as a gifr)... and she does love edward (as a brother)

the mall thing..... they use different names on the credit cards..... (not cullen or hale)... so if james thought of looking it up....... he won't fine cullen credit card.. last used... (in this place)......

well alice said that edward could get that for her for a present and i know that around holidays my mom doesnt let me get things for myself so maybe that was alice's mindset

It's not so much buying it herself, but the reason Edward gave Alice the porsche...I think Alice knew that he would never take it away from her (she would have seen) but i think she didn't want Bella to make too much of a fuss...I belive there is an excerpt of the shopping scene on Stephenie Meyer's website....check in the Extra Secion!
