So, don't you love Rosalie?

*lurks in thread* I'm watching you, haters...watching you.

I love Rosalie, because she always down to earth. Even when she might do something to piss every one off she doesn't do it just to hurt anyone. She's not afraid to speak her opinon, and thats what i love about her.

I dont hate Rosalie either. I kinda sympathize for her. Shes been through a loT. But at least she has Emmett! =]

She is my favorite.

1) she's hilarious (Fido)
2) she's hilarious (food. in. my. hair.)
3) she's a total b**** (beat you dead)
4) she has a reason for being a total b**** (fiance)
5) she's less of a b**** than most would be, considering that reason
6) she's just amazing in general (saving Emmett)

she'd be a great mother (pile of ashes)

10) she's the incarnation of beauty
11) she's trying to help, whatever she does. and people do horrible things to her for it but she's okay with that

Reading BD did change my opinion of her

Me too, Rosalie is just a complicated charater that you can never know what her next move is going to be.

Rosalie did give up in the end. I didn't think she was too bad, she was just helping Bella's babay out.

She wasn't valuing the baby's life over Bella's because she's a selfish b**** who doesn't care about anyone else, she was honoring Bella's wishes, which everyone else IGNORED! If Bella wanted to die rather than see her child die the others should have respected that, and Rosalie did! She was HELPING Bella because Bella asked her to! Her motives, were ANYTHING but selfish! That was one of the most selfless things she's done!! *Is frustrated beyond words* She was willing to look ridiculous and like a horrible person to her entire family, even to Jacob and the other wolves, in order to give Bella what she wanted. OMC guys. You don't even know how pissed I get when people hate Rosalie. I have to stop now...I could go on forever...

Let me just say that reading Breaking Dawn made me love Rosalie even more. And I'm willing to argue all day in her defense.

I do not hate Rose! I LOVE Rosalie!!! And I seriously should not have posted so short a time after I read the book... I needed more mulling time. I think I understand it a lot better after reading it the second time. You are right that it was not a selfish thing.

But my final overall verdict (covering the whole series) is that I officially love rosalie. She is a complex character, and I like that about her. She is not a cahracter like Emmett, where he is not hard to figure out. She IS more complex, and I think it takes more than one time reading through to realze that she is doing it for Bella and for the baby both, not just one or the other. And after thinking about it, I realized that I would have done the same thing she did if I was in her position. If I was her, I would have helped Bella, I would have helped protect the baby. So, I think that that really changed my perception of the whole thing. And it made me understand Rose a lot better.

she is cofusing and hard to understand and alot of stuff she does can be interpreted in many ways and everything she does is often taken as bad and mean and hurtful but its not. through the entire series rose has always tried to protect her family and do what is best for bella because she didn't want everything to go wrong for everyone by letting bella loose her "humanity". she's always cared about everyone and has tried to always do what she thought was best. in bd she was trying to help bella and do what bella thought was best.
in short: she loves the baby, loves bella, loves the fam, and has always been there for them.

*is smug* see? she's wonderful. And wonderfully complex.

Guys, Twirlz has a point. When you make a point, you have to actually back it up, you cannot just make a statement like taht without any reasoning.

but Rose is amazingly complex... It is very hard to understand her motives a lot of the time, but I think taht she does really mean well.

YOU PEOPLE ARE LIKE COMPLETELY MISUNDERSTANDING WHAT HAPPENED IN BD.

First: Do not refer to Renesmee as 'the baby spawn'. WTF is up with that? That is Edward and Bella's child! I don't care if you hate Rose that is ridiculous.

Second: She was not POSSESSIVE. She was PROTECTIVE and she was PROTECTIVE of BELLA, not Renesmee! She was trying to stop the others from doing things to Bella that Bella didn't want done, and making sure that Bella got what she wanted, because BELLA WANTED RENESMEE PROTECTED BEFORE HERSELF and everyone else was ignoring that.

Third: She wasn't trying to like, steal the baby. She just knew how Bella felt because she had wanted a baby for so long and knew she would give up her own life if it meant her child could live (if she could have children). She was on Bella's side of this arguments, unlike most of the others. She thought they should listen to what Bella wanted and try to protect the baby in addition to the mother. And also, if you're going to claim that she didn't care about Bella and that's terrible, everyone else wasn't caring about Bella when they tried to kill her kid. They didn't even consider that maybe Bella wouldn't have wanted to live if she knew Renesmee was dead because they had saved her.

and Fourth: WTF???? You think Rosalie, ROSALIE who has never tasted human blood and only killed the MAN WHO RAPED AND MURDERED HER, his friends, and their guards doesn't care if Bella lives or dies? SHE SPENT THE FIRST THREE BOOKS TRYING TO CONVINCE BELLA NOT TO GIVE HER LIFE UP!!! OF COURSE SHE CARES!!! THIS IS JUST A RIDICULOUS CLAIM. ENOUGH SAID.
