Each photographer has his or her own prefered camera type. No, I don't mean brand. What I mean is film or digital--do you take your rolls upon rolls of film to the nearest drugstore to have them developed, or do you count up your megapixels at home on your computer? Either way is fine, of course. But which do you prefer?

Please vote in the poll, and then leave a comment below telling why you chose the option you did.

Personally, I pick digital. I haven't had much experience with film yet, but digital is just easier for me--I don't have to wait for my pictures to develop. I can run outside and take pictures, and then have them on the internet in a matter of minutes. It's just faster.

I like digital because you can take so many more pictures. with film you cant go back and delete pictures. If you take it, you're stuck with it.

I take soooo many pictures with my camera. When i aim to take a picture i take like five of the same thing so that i can decide which one is better. Sometimes you accidently change the focus and it makes what could have been an extrordinary picture into trash. Or maybe you move a tiny bit and blur something and ruin your picture. With digital you don't have to worry about that picture where you moved or that picture where your focus was off.

Agh, I love film so much, but it just isn't practical for me. It's expensive, for one thing, and permanent, and the pictures are so much prettier. I would love to use film all the time, but my only camera is digital.

I'm with Twirlz.

While film is lovely, It is expensive, and not practical.

My sister knows how to use our film camera, but I have absolutely no idea, also, so for now, it is digital for me.

in my school they offer a photography class for 10th grade and up and they teach you how to develop your own film. Im going to take it even though i dont think i will ever use it. It will still be cool to know how Very Happy

They used to offer a class at my school for that, too, but they got rid of it Sad I was very sad.

I love film. But I would have to pick digital...it's easier plus I can cheat, I take my pictures, load 'em up to costco's website and they print me 4x6s is I so choose. *shrug* it's awfully convienient, and I get my little glossies that I can frame and they look just like film only less red-eye and only the pictures I want, not the while roll.

These are all wonderful reasons and opinions. Very Happy
I agree with the general reply here--I'd love film, but it's just so expensive, even if you do it at home.

Thank you guys for responding! Keep it up. Very Happy
