Sean Price and Katie Newell sat quietly on the beach, their fingers intertwined as they stared at the rising moon. Katie buried her feet under the blanket as she rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes.
They sat there quietly, watching the waves slowly approach their blanket, sending small particles of water across their feet. Katie curled up to Sean and yawned.
“Katie,” Sean said his voice trembling as he pressed Katie to his side, “I love you, you know that right?”
“I love you too, Sean.” She pressed her lips to his neck and smiled up at him.
“And you know I’d do anything for you, right?”
She smiled and nodded.
He reached into his pocket, “Katie,” he said, bringing her left hand up to his lips, kissing it gently, “I love you more than anything in the world, and I want nothing more than to live the rest of my life next to you.”
Her eyes widened, biting her lower lip “What are you saying?”
“Katie, Will you marry me?”
