So, you may be wondering, what is the point of this fancy new thread?

Well, it has come to our attention that many members on the site (including most of your admins) are participating in National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short. NaNoWriMo is a month of craziness, chaos, and creativity--the goal is to write a 50,000 novel in the month of November.

November is coming up quickly (TWO DAYS! Very Happy), and at exactly midnight, the fun begins. All over the world, people are participating in this.

Now, you may be wondering, what is the appeal of NaNo? It leads to breakdowns and insanity, and lack of time. However, the time crunch leads to creativity and new ideas beyond what we could imagine, because often, not having enough time forces us to buckle down and write, leading to the random, spur-of-the-moment ideas that change the story completely. Also, it is motivation for those of us who "don't have time" to write on a regular basis. It forces us to just write, not stressing over the little things, and not doing more editing than writing.

So, this thread is the support group for those of you doing NaNoWriMo. We are not affiliated with the official site in any way, shape, or form--this is just our own little corner of the world where we can offer support, help, and even distractions during this stressful, amazing month.

THIS IS NOT A SPAM THREAD! There are spam threads contained here, but they are ONLY for members participating in National Novel Writing Month. If you spam, and you are not participating in NaNo, chances are, tempers will be frayed, and it will not end well for you.

For those of you who are participating in NaNoWriMo, best of luck! Happy Writing Very Happy
