Well anyway, the first thing to do:
What around the site needs to be improved?

Some of you gave me suggestions in your apps, and they were really good! Is there anything else that comes to mind? Something that nags you about the site that you want to change?
You can also get the input of others around the site. If you guys want, you can start a new thread asking or whatever.
And don't be afraid to hold back; I won't be offended

Anyways, I think we need to talk to the Desin Den about the headers and skin. I think the pink skin scares people away, that maybe the male Twilight people think that this is a girly site. I LOVED the first skin I saw when I first joined! It was wonderful!

Yeah, in my application, I suggested to change the background of the site.

And something should be done about the language classes...most people aren't really interested in them.

Sooo anyhoo for my suggestions... I was thinking about doing something to recruit back old inactive members... I don't know how exactly but that could be something we could talk about. I mean we could probably do it. We have over 900 members and only a handful are online or at least participate.

And also... yes the layout needs changing but the DD is working on that already.

I suggested a new layout, but I was talking more than just the graphics. I think a lot of things can be cleaned down and then condensed. I often suggest the Muse board layout (not the graphics but the categories and how they are layed out). There are just so many categories that it is impossible to find something you are looking for quickly. I'm not trying to offend anyone, by the way, I'm just trying to express my opinion.

Oh yeah, I agree. The smaller it is, it'll probably be more clean and organized.

All right, good. So we all agree on new graphics and new layout/organization. I'll start thinking up ways to condense the forum.

EDIT: Finished coming up with a rough draft (remember, it is a very rough, rough draft) of a possible outline. It may be slightly confusing, so let me explain. The bold are categories. The underlined are forums (also, they have a dash next to them). And the italicized are sub-forums (they have two dashes next to them). Oh, and if I have parenthesis under a forum, that is what I'm suggesting the wording be.

But, I suggest scrolling down and where it says: Sub-level links on index, check it to yes. Also, -cough- I like it where if you check yes to Show the last topic titles on index.

Last thing I want to say: you don't have to use ANYTHING of what I just said. I'm just throwing out ideas and to start the reorganization/new layout process start.

Not half bad, in my opinion, because, I don't know.. I think it could work if we can't come up with a better name.

And I really really like the idea of condensing things; I've always wanted to do that. But the thing is, I've tried changing things in the past before, and SO many people complained. They said it was hard to find things and got them confused because they had the whole thing memorized or whatever and then I went and changed it.
I could try your ideas, just watch out for angry complainers in the CB. hah

It's cool. We can deal with them. People complain about so many things because they are used to their standards of normal. I'm sure they'll get used to it. And, if not, it can go back to their normal. :)
