Okay, so open lunapic and load a picture. Then, when the picture is open, go to the top of the screen, and you will see "effects" and "animation", two of the drop down menus. THose are your best friends for special effects. :)

If you go to animations, then sparkles effect animation, or something like that, you will add the sparklies, like my old nickelback banner had.

For the Alice one, I think I added the pink shiny background, but I am not quite sure exactly how I did it...
