I think alot of it how pale he is though. Which I mean we can't really complain about because that's the point..

If you think about it, Edward really couldn't be that attractive in real life based on his physical description:
pale
crazy red hair
wicked dark circles under the eyes
with occasionally black eyes

Scary. But of course, it's more the way that Stephenie personifies him that makes him so irresistable. So I guess we should throw him a bone.
